Playoffs 2027 at a glance: the year month by month
The year starts with American football. The NFL playoffs for the 2026 season run from the Wild Card weekend on 16 to 18 January 2027 through the Divisional round on 23 and 24 January and the Conference Championships on 31 January, before Super Bowl LXI at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood on Sunday 14 February. Spring then belongs to basketball and hockey. The NBA regular season ends on 11 April, the Play-In runs from 13 to 16 April and the playoffs begin on 17 April. The NHL regular season ends on 10 April, with the Stanley Cup playoffs expected to start the following week. The EuroLeague Play-In is on 20 and 23 April and its best-of-five playoffs run from 27 April to 12 May.
Late May and June are the season of finals. The EuroLeague Final Four takes place in Abu Dhabi on 28 and 30 May. The NBA Finals and the Stanley Cup Final are expected in June, although their exact dates are not yet published. The Top 14 rugby final is scheduled for 26 June at the Stade de France, and the German and Spanish basketball finals are expected in June too. Autumn brings the WNBA playoffs and the MLB postseason, which should lead to the World Series in late October, subject to a new labour agreement in baseball. The table on this page lists every stage with its status.
Official dates versus estimates in the playoffs 2027 calendar
Some leagues publish their postseason calendars far in advance. The NFL's playoff weekends, the EuroLeague's Play-In, playoff and Final Four dates, and the NBA's Play-In and first-round start are all official. Others only publish dates late in the season. The NBA has not announced the dates of its Finals, the NHL has not announced the start of its playoffs or its Final, MLB has not published its 2027 postseason schedule, and the WNBA has not released its 2027 calendar. For those competitions, this site uses historical windows from recent seasons and labels them clearly as estimates. A third category covers dates reported by reliable sources but not yet confirmed by the league itself, such as the Top 14 knockout weekends, which come from calendars citing the league, or the window of the Spanish playoffs, which comes from a reported clubs' assembly. Those are marked as expected. As soon as a league confirms its calendar, the corresponding pages are updated and alert subscribers receive a single email.

Playoffs 2027 champions to beat: who holds the titles
Every postseason in 2027 starts with a reigning champion. The New York Knicks won the 2026 NBA title, beating the San Antonio Spurs four games to one for their first championship since 1973. The Carolina Hurricanes won the 2026 Stanley Cup against the Vegas Golden Knights. The Seattle Seahawks won Super Bowl LX against the New England Patriots in February 2026. Olympiacos won the 2026 EuroLeague in Athens, beating Real Madrid in the final, while Alba Berlin won the German title against Bayern Munich, Valencia Basket the Spanish title against Barça and Stade Toulousain their fourth consecutive French rugby championship against Montpellier. Two titles were still being decided when this page was written on 25 October 2026: the World Series between the Milwaukee Brewers and the Tampa Bay Rays, with Milwaukee leading two games to none, and the WNBA Finals between the Golden State Valkyries and the Atlanta Dream, tied at two games apiece. MLS Cup 2026 is scheduled for 18 December. None of these results predicts what will happen in the playoffs 2027, and this site does not make predictions. They do, however, influence demand: champions and recent finalists usually attract more interest for tickets.
How playoffs 2027 tickets work across leagues
Despite their differences, most leagues follow the same basic logic when it comes to postseason tickets. Clubs sell their own home games, starting with season-ticket holders or members, who often receive invoices for conditional games in advance. Any remaining seats go on public sale through the club's box office once the opponent and date are confirmed, sometimes only a few days before the game. Neutral-site finals, such as the Super Bowl, the EuroLeague Final Four and the Top 14 final, are sold by the league or the organiser, often in phases, with allocations for the finalists' supporters. Resale plays a role everywhere, but its weight differs. In North America, a large share of playoff tickets is bought on resale platforms, where prices react instantly to demand. In Europe, many clubs restrict resale, require identification or operate their own exchange. Whatever the league, the same checks apply: compare the total price including fees, confirm the exact seat, understand how tickets are delivered and read the refund policy for games that are not played.
Indicative playoffs 2027 prices
Every league guide on this site includes a table of indicative price ranges, which are estimates based on recent seasons rather than quotes. They show, for example, that early-round European basketball playoff games can cost a few dozen euros, while NBA Finals or Stanley Cup Final seats can reach several thousand dollars. The only hard figures we publish are those reported by reliable sources, such as the Super Bowl LX face values and resale prices. Our dedicated guide to playoff ticket prices explains what drives these differences, from market size to series length. It also explains why the same seat can cost very different amounts from one game to the next within a single series, and why waiting can sometimes pay off while at other times it costs you the chance to attend at all. Prices are only one part of the budget. Travel and accommodation often cost more than the ticket itself, especially for neutral-site finals and when the matchup is only known a few days in advance.
Planning a playoffs 2027 trip
The biggest challenge in planning a playoff trip is uncertainty. A good strategy is to choose a window rather than a specific game: a long weekend in late April for the NBA or NHL first round, the second half of May for the conference finals and the EuroLeague Final Four, late June for the Top 14 final and the end of the Spanish and German basketball seasons. Refundable accommodation and flexible flights are worth the extra cost. If you want to see several events, some combinations work well, such as a European basketball final weekend followed by the Top 14 final in Paris. For international visitors, entry requirements matter, especially for the United States, Canada and the United Arab Emirates. Check them early, as there will be no time once the matchups are known. Our guides for each league include practical travel information, from public transport to the stadium to the best areas to stay.

Playoffs 2027 FAQ
These are the questions visitors ask most often when they arrive on this hub: which postseasons are covered, how reliable the dates are, how the alerts work and whether this site sells tickets. The answers apply to all the leagues covered, and each league guide includes its own detailed FAQ. Because playoff calendars change as leagues publish new information, this hub is updated regularly, and the key-dates table always shows the current status of each stage, from official to estimated. If your question concerns a specific league or club, the dedicated guide is the best place to look, because it goes into the details of that competition's format, the way its clubs sell tickets and the practical side of attending a game, which this general FAQ can only summarise briefly. The alert forms on every page let you choose the competition or team you care about, so the emails you receive stay relevant.
Which leagues does Playoffs 2027 cover?
This site covers ten postseasons in 2027: the NFL playoffs and Super Bowl LXI, the NBA Play-In, playoffs and Finals, the NHL's Stanley Cup playoffs and Final, the MLB postseason and World Series, the MLS playoffs during the league's calendar transition, the WNBA playoffs, the EuroLeague playoffs and Final Four, the German Basketball Bundesliga playoffs, the Spanish Liga ACB playoffs and the Top 14 rugby knockout stage and final. Each has its own guide with dates, format, indicative prices and ticket advice. Team pages cover clubs that fans frequently ask about, such as the Knicks, Lakers, Maple Leafs, Dodgers or Chiefs, and the Spanish and French sections add pages for Real Madrid, Barça, Stade Toulousain, the Canadiens and the Spurs. Spanish and French versions are available for the leagues most followed in those languages, including the NBA, EuroLeague, Liga ACB, Super Bowl, Stanley Cup and Top 14. More team pages may be added as the season progresses and as fans ask about other clubs.
How reliable are the Playoffs 2027 dates on this site?
Every date on this site is labelled. Official dates come from published league calendars, such as the NFL playoff weekends, the NBA Play-In and first-round start, and the EuroLeague schedule. Expected dates come from reliable sources that are not yet confirmed by the league itself, such as the Top 14 knockout weekends. Historical windows are estimates based on recent seasons, used when a league has not yet published its calendar, such as the NBA Finals or the Stanley Cup Final. When leagues publish new information, the pages are updated, and alert subscribers receive an email. We never present an estimate as an official date, and we do not invent venues, prices or results. If you spot something that looks out of date, the most recent announcement by the league always takes precedence over this site. We review the calendars regularly, especially in the weeks before each postseason begins and during it.
Does Playoffs 2027 sell tickets?
No. This site is an independent guide to postseason calendars, formats and ticket timing. It is not affiliated with any league or team and does not sell tickets itself. Some pages include buttons to partner ticket platforms, which may pay a commission when you buy, at no extra cost to you. The free alerts let you register your email for a specific league or team, and we send you a message when dates are confirmed or when tickets become available. You can unsubscribe at any time with one click, and your address is never sold or shared. When you buy tickets, always compare total prices including fees, check the exact seat and delivery method, and read the refund policy for games that may not be played. Our guide on how to buy playoff tickets explains these checks step by step, for both North American and European competitions, with concrete examples.
